Bill Bedrossian

Bill oversees all program services, financial, fundraising and human resources activities of the organization. He reports to CHC’s 23-member Board of Directors and works collaboratively with Covenant House International, Inc., and its national affiliates. Mr. Bedrossian has a B.S. in Business Administration and Finance as well as a Masters of Social Work.
He has more than 20 years’ experience working with at-risk and underserved youth. His experience began doing street outreach and residential care in Chicago, Illinois in the mid-1990’s. He subsequently spent 13 years with the L.A. County Department of Child and Family Services, where he began as a Children’s Social Worker in 1997, and moved up the ranks to Supervisor, Assistant Regional Administrator, and in 2008, he became the Regional Director of DCFS’ South County Region.
In 2010, he became the Executive Director at Olive Crest, an agency serving abused and at-risk children through a continuum of child abuse prevention, family support, and housing services. In 2012, he was appointed as Olive Crest’s Executive Director for their Southern California operations, overseeing 500+ staff and programs in LA, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego Counties.
He has served as an adjunct professor in USC’s Graduate School of Social Work since 2012. His own family has been a foster family for 30+ years with 8 siblings adopted from the child welfare system.
Luz Buan

Luz Buan, CPA, has served Covenant House California since 1992. Ms. Buan oversees finance, payroll, purchasing, and grants management processes. She also manages the facilities management teams for both Hollywood and Oakland, and the contract with CHC’s food service provider, FMA. She develops annual and long-range goals and strategies for the finance group as well as the agency as a whole. Ms. Buan’s extensive experience includes developing and managing the agency’s budget, which is upwards of $9.6 million, tax and audit reporting, grants management, and managing the agency’s investments.
Krista Girty

Krista Girty, Senior Vice President of Northern California Operations, has worked for two decades as an advocate for youth in several capacities managing crisis and stabilization programs and services for homeless youth. Krista was the Director of Health Services at Huckleberry Youth Programs (HYP) where she managed the Huckleberry Youth Health Center/Cole Street Clinic before joining CHC. While at HYP Krista helped design and implement the 24 hour crisis response for CSEC for San Francisco County.
Ami Rowland

Ami Rowland, Senior Vice President of Southern California Operations, has 20 years of experience working in residential treatment programs for at-risk children and youth. She was most recently the Southern California Regional Director of Residential services for children and transitional-age youth at Olive Crest. It was there that she handled all program guidelines, development, strategic planning, budgeting, supervision of management employees, and was an advocate for transitional housing programs and the extension of ‘Foster Care Until 21’ across the state. Other experience includes progressively responsible positions in therapy and program management. Ms. Rowland has a Bachelor of Science degree.
Amanda Sattler

Amanda developed a deep passion for connecting at-risk youth with mentors, resources and opportunities while an undergraduate student at the University of Southern California. This purpose led her to get her BA in Sociology and her BS in Public Policy & Management. Amanda’s philanthropic career officially began in 2001, when she was hired as a program manager at Junior Achievement of Southern California. In 2007, Amanda returned to USC to receive her Executive Master of Leadership degree. During this time, she discovered a new and exciting passion which surprised her, fundraising! Connecting potential donors to a great mission instantly inspired and stretched her.
